It has been years since Rohit Shetty evinced interest in dubbing Ram Lakhan, that cult action comedy, with Ranveer Singh staring as Lakhan — a never-do-gooder who becomes a cop and was originally played by Anil Kapoor. But that was not to be. So, Ranveer singh and Rohit did the next best thing — brought Karan Johar on board as the producer and decided to make a cop drama called Simmba. Early on Thursday morning, Karan and Ranveer took to their social media handles and shared the first look of Ranveer as Inspector Sangram Bhalerao. Dressed in the statutory uniform with a handlebar moustache and a wide smile on his face, the actor looks as much interested in comedy as what policemen are supposed to do onscreen — kick some backside, that is.
Tweeting the motion picture, Ranveer wrote, “SANGRAM BHALERAO aka #Simmba !!!! #RohitShetty @karanjohar @RelianceEnt @DharmaMovies @RSPicturez.”

The film is relied upon to be a crude activity flick made in accordance with Ajay Devgn-starrer Singham. Indeed, even the title of both the movies sound comparable. And after that, there is Ram Lakhan obviously. The photograph gives us the vibes however as Rohit had said before, “No, the Ram Lakhan redo isn’t occurring. Two stars would prefer not to cooperate, they simply need to advance each other’s movies. This youthful part, they will tweet for each other, however they won’t work with each other.”
From what has risen as of late, the film might be inexactly in light of Jr NTR-starrer Temper. “We have purchased the privileges of Temper yet our film isn’t precisely a revamp. We needed to take four-five scenes from Temper however we thought it’s smarter to purchase the rights. It’s what we did with Singham,” Rohit was cited as saying in a prior meeting. The Singham establishment is the change of Suriya-starrer Singam and has Ajay Devgn ahead of the pack part.
Tamannaah Bhatia is likely to star opposite Ranveer in the flick which might begin shooting soon. Produced by Karan Johar, the flick is slated to hit theatres on December 28, 2018.
Ranveer singh is currently awaiting the release of his controversial next flick with Deepika Padukone, Padmavati. he is also working in Zoya Akhtar’s flick Gully Boy that is based on Mumbai’s street rappers. Rohit Shetty, on the other hand, is riding high on the success of his latest release, Golmaal Returns.
